4 Under separate cover, we are transmitting three (3) original and forty (40) conformed copies of ar. application for Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No.
1.
This application requests that the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Appendix A, be revised to reflect the changes attached. The proposed changes involve Tables 3.3-5 and 3.6-2.
The attachments identify the proposed changes and its safety evaluation and significant hazard consideration. The proposed change concerns deletion of the SFAS signal to the Containment Sample Isolation Valves for the Post-Accident Sampling System. A new system has been installed and is qualified for the pressure and temperature in the containment accident condition. The new system does not need to be isolated from the containment in a post-accident condition.
This amendment request involves a change of Class III type.
Enclosed is a check for $4,000 as requested by 10CFR170.22.
