SUBJECT:

Fort St. Vrain Unit No. 1 NRC Source-Term Rules

Dear Mr. Collins:

We note that the NRC is proposing source term rules that would state the maximum risk expected for any plant.

From all indications the source term must necessarily be plant specific, and it is doubtful that Fort Saint Vrain will be considered.

In this respect we would like to express our concern

w about any general rule making that will apply to all operating reactors if that rule making does not consider Fort Saint Vrain.

Sincerely, b W AEn ds Don W. Warembourg Manager, Nuclear Production Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station DWW/djc 8402150148 840130 PDR ADOCK 05000267 P
