Fitness for Duty Program Six Month Performance Data FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM
SUMMARY
During this reporting period, approximately 26.6 percent of the population have been randomly tested. The rate of positives from random testing is 0.67 percent.
POSITIVE RESULTS:
Of the substances tested for, cocaine is the only substance that yielded positive results during this reporting period. Calculated from the positives recorded from January 1990 until December 1994, marijuana is still the drug of preference accounting for 54.8 percent of the all positive results, with cocaine second yielding 30.1 percent of positives'.
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:
Access was denied for the employee that tested positive on pre-access analysis.
Management was notified and the individuals' files were annotated of the positive result and management's actions.
The two contract personnel that tested positive during random testing had their access removed. Management was notified and their files were annotated of the positive results and management's actions.
Presently, there are two employees participating in follow-up programs.
Fifty-six follow-up tests have been administered collectively to these employees. All results have been negative.
Management agreed to assist a contract company with the implementation of their Employee Assistance Program.

Fitness for Duty Program Six Month Performance Data EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC):
During this reporting period, there were no violations of the fitness for duty program that were reportable.
PROGRAM WEAKNESSES:
Weaknesses were identified involving the calibration of an instrument used for testing breath alcohol concentration levels and the use of reagents for urine testing that had expired. These incidents were due to human error and actions were taken to discipline those involved. The attention to.
detail required in this program was stressed.
