Dear Mr. Keppler:
DOCKETS 50-255 AND 50-301 REPLY TO IE INSPECTION REPORT 50-266/83-22 AND 50-301/83-21 This is in response to your letter regarding the special safeguards inspection conducted by Mr.
T.
J.
Madeda of your office at Point Beach Nuclear Plant on November 15-18 and 28, 1983.
As indicated in your report, certain activities appeared to be in non-compliance with NRC requirements.
These items, listed in your appended Notice of Violation, are addressed in the enclosure to this letter.
Your request for submittal of security plan changes, including the requested drawing, is also included in the enclosure.
The item of concern addressed in Section 6 of your details has been addressed by the Licensee and will be available for your future review.
The subject matter and enclosure to this letter are considered exempt from disclosure in accordance with Section 7 3. 21 (c ) ( 2 ), Part 73, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
We request that the enclcsure to this letter be treated as confidential and not be placed in any public document room, and that any reply you make be similarly withheld if it deals with the details of our plant security plan.
