Enclosed for your information is a DRAFT revision to Issue 4 of the Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Physical Security Plan (PSP)
(Base Plan).
This information is being provided to aid in the review of a
Duquesne Light Company exemption request which is being submitted under separate correspondence.
The request for exemption from 10 CFR 73. 55 (d) (5) is to allow individuals with unescorted access to keep their badges when departing the BVPS protected area.
This is being requested to enable implementation of an alternate (biometric) access control system.
Please note that none of the DRAFT revision pages contain a revision number as this is NOT an actual submittal for inclusion into the BVPS PSP at this time.
Updated Plan drawings have not been included at this
- time, but will be provided after the alternate access control system concept has been approved.
If the exemption is
- granted, a
PSP revision will be submitted in accordance with 10 CFR
- 50. 54 (p) (2) to incorporate this change.
The enclosed materials are considered proprietary under the provision of 10 CFR 2.790(d) (1), and Safeguards Information under the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21(b) (4), and are thereby exempt from public disclosure.
