Subject:

NUCLEAR PROJECT NO. 1, RESPONSETO IE BULLETIN 83-08

Reference:

IE Bulletin 83-08, Electrical Circuit Breakers With An Undervoltage Trip Feature In Use In Safety-Related Applica-tions Other Than The Reactor Trip System, dated December 28, 1983 The reference bulletin requested that, within 90 days, we either provide projected dates for the implementation of the items enclosed with the reference, or we submit a negative declaration if we do not use circuit breakers with Under Voltage Trip Attachments (UVTA) in safety-related applications.

This is our negative declaration for WNP-1.

For WNP-1, undervoltage protection is provided by undervoltage relays which energize the shunt trip coils; UVTA's are not used.
