-power plant construction permit holders to provide a response within 120 days.

This response should contain the status of current plant conformance with the-positions contained in the Generic. Letter in addition to any plans and schedules for establishing conformance with the positions. Generic Letter 83-28 also provided for any necessary extension requests to be submitted within

60 days of the letter date.

Consumers Power Company in cooperation with the Babcock & Wilcox Owners Group (BWOG) has examined the actions and information required by the Generic Letter. Subsequently, the BWOG, in a letter addressed to D G Eisenhut, dsted August 31, 1983, has requested a 30-day extension to the extension u quest due date specified in the. letter. 'This extension is requested to provide

-additional time needed to plan and. evaluate the possibility of responding to the Generic Letter as a group rather than separately.
