This letter is afollow-up to the referenced letter, in which Crane Valves Nuclear .

Operations advised that we were undertaking an investigation with respect to the January i 1994 incident at iVairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant involving Crane Design Gate Valves.

Additionalinformation has been receivedfrom nuclearplants that also have Crane Design ,

Gate Valves of the same model.

It is expected that the evaluation will be completed within the next 30 days. Any questions can be directed to my attention at 815-740-7571.
