Dear Mr. Chairman:
On October 29,'the Interior Committoo's Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment will conduct a hearing on quality assurance as it applies to reactors under construction.
I would appreciate Lectimony on the Commissica's position as to the adequacy of its and licensees' cuality casurance prograns.
Of particular interest is what might be inf erred aboui gality muurance from the situa-tion that has recently cc 22 to liriht at Diablo Canyon.
I would welcome testimony as to how Gilt and other racont experience has affected the Commiscion's thinking on its cuality assurance program and the possib3 e need for ir.;rovements in existing pro-cedures.
I would appreciate your arrcrsging your presentation so that it can be delivered in 15 minuten ::.insc.
