Dear Mr. Collins:
PSC has received the referenced letter which requests that additional infomation regarding H-451 graphite be submitted within 30 days of receipt.
We have begun the work necessary to provide the additional information. However, the 30 day period does not provide enough time for us to perform additional analyses that we feel are necessary to support a thorough response.
We brought this to the attention of Mr. P. Wagner during a telephone conversation on August 5, 1983 and an agreement was reached that PSC's response would reach NRC by October 10, 1983.
Therefore, we are proceeding with the additional analyses and are planning to provide a response to the NRC questions by October 10, 1983.
We trust that this understanding is acceptable.
