HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT AMENDMENT 4 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby files Amendment 4 to the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR). Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.30 (c)(1)(i) and 10 CFR 51.40 (b) this filing consists of sixty (60) copies of Amendment 4 material for the PSAR. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.101 (a)(4) and 10 CFR 50.30 (c)(1), tnree (3) signed originals of the required affidavit are enclosed.

Amendment 4 to the HCGS FSAR contains general revisions to the FSAR text and responses to the requests for additional information outlined in NRC letters of November 21, 1983, and December 7, 1983, (A. Schwencer, NRC to R. L. Mittl, PSE&G). Also, responses to prior NRC requests forecasted for closure by January 1984, are included.

Please note an advance copy of Amendment 4 was submitted to the NRC January 18, 1984.

The advance copy also included three copies of revised drawings tabulated in FSAR Section 1.7.
