Gulf States Utilities Company, (River Bend Station), NRC Docket No. 50-458-OLA
Dear Mr. Levanway:
In accordance with the Licensing Board's order issued at the October 4, 1994 prehearing conference (Tr. 38), GSU/EOI was to supplement its response to Cajun Request No. 2-6 by describing any meetings between former GSU employees and Entergy employees about the SCRAM that occurred at River Bend on or about September 9, 1994.
However, neither the responses provided to Cajun on Wednesday, October 19th (under cover of your letter dated October 14, 1994), nor the related documents which we received on October 21, respond to the Licensing Board's order on this important matter.
I therefore telephoned you today to inquire as to when Cajun could expect a response.
You stated that the failure of GSU/EOI to respond should, probably, be interpreted in the negative, and as meaning there were no such meetings.
You also stated that you would clarify this matter in a letter to me.
Cajun loaks forward to a formal response from GSU/EOI at the earliest convenient time.
Cajun reserves the right to conduct follow-up discovery on your response, as was our right if the response had been timely submitted on October 14.
