WHAT IS THE NRC MENTORING PROGRAM The Mentoring Program provides NRC employees an opportunity to discuss their careergoals and aspirations with experienced NRC employees who volunteer to sen?e as memors on a one-to-one basis.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES To improve staff members ' productivity and potentialfor advancement through 5

enhancement of theirpresentjob skills and abilities.

To support the Upward Mobility and the rotational assignment process byproviding

employees with guidance and information that will assist them in their career development.

To improve staff morale by providing satisfying career development experiences through participation in the program.

1 ELIGHHLITY ROLE OF THE MENTOR i

Participation as a mentor or mentee is voluntary.

s TIME REQUIREMENTS Meetings between mentors and mentees should not exceed a maximum of one hour a week of official time. Supervisory approval will be required prior to scheduling an official meeting.

At the discretion of the mentee and mentor, other sessions may be scheduled on their own time.

ENROLLMENT Applications for the NRC Mentoring Program are accepted on an ongoing basis. Training classes for matched mentees and mentors are conducted annually. For more information on the Program, please contact:
