Dear Mr. Denton:

Enclosed for filing with the Commission is Amendment No. 61 to the License Application of Philadelphia Electric Company in the above captioned matter. This Amendment makes changes to the Final Safety Analysis Report as a result of meetings and discussions with NRC Branches (Equipment Qualification, Quality Assurance and Instrumentation and Control Systems) and makes i miscellaneous changes to reflect accurately the Limerick design. In addition, the Amendment makes Revision 8 to the Emergency Plan in response to a letter from A. Schwencer of the NRC Staff dated July 6, 1981 and makes Revision 7 to the Design Assessment Report to expand the description of the suppression pool temperature monitoring system.

The filing consists of three originals and nineteen copies of Amendment No. 61 to the License Application, fifty copies of Revision 28 to the Final Safety Analysis Report, fifty copies of Revision 8 to the Emergency Plan and forty copies to the Design Assessment Report.
