., On October 24, 1983, TVA submitted a request (TVA-SQN-TS-50) to amend the Sequoyah unit 1 and unit 2 operating licenses, DPR-77 and DPR-79. The proposed amendmont mquested a change in the technical specifications to revise the allowable value for the diesel generator start and load shed timer listed in taole 3 3-4. A revised justification for the proposed technical specification was submitted by a December 7,1983 letter to you.
As a result of recent telephone discussions with Peter Kang of the NRC and Carl Stahle of your staff, a revised allowable value, 30 seconds, for the diesel generator start and load shed tiuers is acceptable to TVA. Please utilize this mvised value for. approval of the proposed license amendment.
