- 9. Permit Violations:
Summarize any permit violations during the period of this permit and indicate any corrective action taken to eliminate them and the probability of reoccurrence.
Excursions above permit limitations ha"e occurred for internal waste stream 001A, which consists nr treated effluent from the on-sito sewage treatment p.snt. (The sewage treatment plant is owned and operated by the New York Power Authority.) Excursions occurred priinarily for total daily flow, which is currently limited to 7 0 , 'J 0 0 gallons per day. Excursions above flow limitations are not substantive violations of permit limitations and do not reflect either the actual operating capacity of tne sewage treatment plant or the present site population. On occasion, excursions above permit limitatione, for settleabic solids, DOD , pH, susperded solids, and focal coliform have occurred. hhese excursions were reported in writing to the DEC during the week in which they occurred. Of these, settleable solids excursions accounted for the majority of excursions associated with operational parameters other than flow.
Presently, two mitigation alternaEives are being considered:
(1) connection to publicly owned treatment works, and (2) modification of the existing on-site sanitary treatment facilities.
