NRC AUDIT CONDUCTED JANUARY 11-13, 1983 During the Midland Units 1 and 2 Environmental Qualification Audit, conducted January 11-13, 1983, the NRC requested Consumers Power Company to provide a sample of the Mechanical Equipment Environmental Qualification Programs for their review.
This letter serves to confirm that Consumers Power Company separately delivered Environmental Qualification packages to the Branch Reviewer for the following equipment:
(1) Reactor Building Spray Pump (M-54); (2) Hydrazine Pump (M-374); and (3) Snubbers (M-Snub). These programs detail the process utilized in qualifying this equipment for the particular environment in which it is to be used.

Upon your completed review of these programs, we trust you will have sufficient information to complete your Environmental Qualification Audit on Midland Units 1 and 2.
