Letter from C E Larson, Vice President, Northern States Power Company, to W L Axelson, Chief, Projects Branch 2, Region Ill, U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission dated October 5, 1989 titled

" Plans for Increasing the Reliability of Chlorine Detection in the Control Room Ventilation System,"

In 1989, a temporary change to the chlorine detection system was made.

A description of this change has not been ir.corporated into subsequent changes to the Updated safety Analysis Report. The next change to the Updated Safety Analysis Report will include a description of this change.

The change was intended as a temporary change until a permanent solution could be implemented.

Since the change was considered temporary we chose not to include it in a revision to the Updated Safety Analysis Report.
