This letter documents our understanding of agreements reached during discussions with Mr. Hunter and Mr. Christianson on September 2, 1982.
To most efficiently coordinate the required document reviews, it is necessary for the Quality Confirmation Program (QCP) to perform its review subsequent to the H. J. Kaiser review on some action items identified in the QCP as transmitted by our letter QA-1476.
The H. J. Kaiser document review procedure, QRM-1, permits the use of an Exception Correction Notice (ECN) to document certain deficiencies identified during document review. To comply with our commitment in QA-1476 to identify deficiencies related to QCP items on NR's, at the time an ECN is initiated by HJK, QCP personnel will review the ECN's to determine if deficiencies that require a nonconformance report exist.
QCP shall document these deficiencies by the use of a generic type NR.
