Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Restart Readiness Schedule This letter provides an update to our letter dated December 1, 1983.
The results of the second Flag 2 Management review meeting held on January 12, 1984, indicated that the plant is now ready for final heatup. Management also concluded that the plant was ready to go critical upon completion of the identified prerequisites.
(A detailed report of management's review will be forwarded by separate correspondence.)
Completion of the remaining prerequisites to going critical should occur by the end of January and the plant will be ready to go critical by February 1,1984 as projected on the attached schedule.
j The above schedule, of course, depends upon receiving NRC approval of our December 21, 1983 request for heatup and favorable Commission decisions on the restart order and final steam generator Technical Specification approval.
