An Overview of BVPS-2 Separation i

Prior to the April-May,1983 meetings with j the NRC, BV-2 separation provisions were ,

l consistent with the PSAR document which in summary described:

l l = separation of redundant safety circuits is by following different routes whenever practical; and by meeting l specified vertical and horizontal separation distances i

when in the same area .
  • Added protection (increased spatial separation or barriers in potential hazard areas) i

a) Redesign of cable or raceway will include redesignation of new status ,

b) Physical routing change will be effected for the existing cable or raceway c) All cable and raceway retain identification d) All cable and raceway remain in the design basis e) Procedures to be developed to address spared cables (terminate, inspect etc.)
