Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Inspection Report 50 336/91-16 Compliance to Reaulatory Guide 1.97 The NRC Staff conducted an inspection of Millstone Unit No. 2's compliance with the guidance in Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.97, "Postaccident Instrumenta-tion," on June 10-14, 1991.
During the course of that inspection, certain questions were raised which required commitments by Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) to provide certain information to the Staff on a schedule agreed to during the inspection.
The purpose of this letter is to provide those commitments.

On behalf of Millstone Unit No. 2, NNEC0 hereby commits to:
o Provide the Staff with an updated submittal listing postaccident instru-mentation and its status of compliance with RG 1.97 by Cecember 15, 1991.
o Provide the Staff with an update to the Millstone Unit No. 2 Final Safety Analysis Report as regards RG 1.97 instrumentation by April 1992, o
Provide resolution of the cold-leg temperature instrument loops by July 15,1991.
Current plans call for resolution of the above item by.the stated date.
If further research renders this date unworkable, NNECO will inform the Staff promptly.
