SUMMARY

OF OPERATUG EXPERIDCE The unit operated continuously thwughout the nonth of May 1991. The plant began the nonth at 60% power in support of fuel conservation activities for full power operation this sunner. Power meined at or ncnr 60% for the mminder of the nonth, with the exception of one power decrease zugttimi by l Wolf Creek Ubcimical Specifications and two power increases to full power.

A lbtification of Unusual Event (!UE) ma declared and a plant shutdown ccmmnced May 12 at 2115 hours0.0245 days
0.588 hours
0.0035 weeks
8.047575e-4 months
as a result of the failure of a 15V power supply in Engineerni Safety Features Actuation Systm cabinet SA036D.

However, the pcw.r supply was ruplaced and the ICE tenninated beforu a total plant shutdown was achieved, reactor power being reduced to a low of 50%

during the event, Pomr was increased fmn 60% to 100% May 13 at the request of Systm Operations to noot grid damnd. The unit rumined at 100% until late May 17 when a power reduction to 60% was commnood for fuel conservation. In addition, a power increase to 100% was again initiated May 30 at 0528 hours0.00611 days
0.147 hours
8.730159e-4 weeks
2.00904e-4 months
at the request of Systan Operations, and powr meined at or near 100% for the muinder of the nonth.
