Attached is a copy of the written report we provided to the State of Alaryland Department of the Environment on a minor oil spill that occurred at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant on hiay 20, 1991. This is being provided to the NRC in compliance with Section 3.2 of the Calvert Cliffs Emironmental Protection Plan Technical Specifications (Appendix B - Part !! to Facility Operating Liccase Nos. DPR-53 & DPR-69).

Dear Sir:
This is to provide the written report for the oil spill reported by phone on 5/20S1 to your office and the Industrial Discharge Enforcement Division of M.D.E. (Reference USCG Report No.
72648, NPDES Permit No. 86.DP-0187, Oil Operations Permit No. 87 DP 0257):
a)
The spill occurred approximately 11:15 a.m. on 5/20S1 at the diesel fuel tank at our Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.
b)
Approximately 4 gallons of diesel fuel spilled.
c)
After a tank fill from a truck delivery, the oil spilled from the delivery hose after disconnect.
d)
The oil was contained on land, and the contaminated soil will be removed.
e)
The correct use of drip pans and hose handling will be reviewed with the personnel involved to prevent reoccurrence of spills, f)
