(TSCR) No. 9342 concecing the implementation of the end-of<ycle Minimum Critical Power l
Ratio Recirculation Pump Vp (MCPR-RPT) System at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Unit 2. Responses ta your requests for additional information regarding this proposed TSCR were also provided in letters dated July 6,1994, July 15,1994, August 17,1994, and

In your letter dated November 29,1994, you stated that the proposed nonsafety-related design for the MCPR-RPT System was not an acceptable basis for taking credit for the recirculation I
pump trip feature in establishing the operating limit minimum critical power ratio margin. You also requested that we provide ar; amended application that reflects a safety-related design, or withdraw the pending application.

PECO Energy hereby withdraws TSCR No. 9342. Our current plans are to defer installation of the modification. Our intent is to continue to pursue the licensing of the MCPR-RPT System in i
support of future installation. Accordingly, in order to further discuss the merits of the nonsafety.
