On July 20, 1994, we responded to a request for a response to an inspection follow up item (94005-02) concerning the weakness associated with theIn the development. and implementation of an adequate check valve program.

The re-evaluation of the existing check valve program against SOER 86-03 and EPRI report NP-5479 will be coupleted by January 1,1995.
The check valve program document and associated FM program will be completed by January 1, 1995.
Since the July 20, 1994 response, a significant amount of progress has been made to meet the check valve program commitments. As changes have been incorporated into the check valve program, it has become apparent that more time is needed to complete the necessary re-evaluation and program upgrade.
Therefore, we are informing you that we will complete these conunitments by March 1,1995 rather than January 1,1995.
