Umerick Generatirg Station, Units 1 and 2 Withdrawal of Technical Specifications Change Request No. 93-01-0 Reduce the Frequency for Venting ECCS Pipin)
Gentlemen:
1 By letter dated August 31,1993, PECO Energy Company submitted Technical Specifications (TS) Change Request No. 93-01-0 requesting an amendment to the TS (Appendix A) to Facilty Operating License Nos. NPF-39 and NPF-85 for Umerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2, respectively. Specifically, TS Change Request No. 9341-0 requested a change to TS Surveillance Requirement 4.5.1 to reduce the frequency for venting the Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) pump discharge piping from once every 31 days to once every six (6) months.
Subsequently, we provided additional information in support of TS Change Request No. 93-01-0 by letter dated March 25,1994, and facsimile on August 26,1994, in order to assist the NRC in its review of this proposed TS chang ( However, after discussions with the NRC and further review of the basis for this proposed M change, we have decided to withdraw TS Change i
Request No. 93 01-0.
Therefore, this letter withdraws our Application for Amendment to Facility Operating Ucense Nos.
NPF-39 and NPF-85, dated August 31,1993, requesting that TS SR 4.5.1 be revised to reduce the frequency for venting the ECCS piping from once every 31 days to once every six (6) months.
