SUBJECT:

James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-333 Response to NRC Bulletin No. 95-61 Onnlity Assurance Program for Trancnortation of Radioactive Material Attachments: 1) Attachment 1, NRCB 95 Enclosure to NRC Bulletin 95-01 Quality Assurance Program for Transportation of Radioactive Material.

Dear Sir:

This letter is in response to NRC Bulletin No. 95-01.

NRC Bulletin 95-01 was issued to notify all radiography licensees of failures of some licensees to have NRC-approved quality assurance (QA) programs for transportation of radioactive material.

The New York Power Authority does not perform radiography. Questions 1,2, and 3 of Attachment 1 to NRC Bulletin 95-01 were answered no because the New York Power Authority does not transport or deliver to carriers licensed radiographic isotopes. Radiography is performed for the New York Power Authority by radiography contractors who are approved and licensed by New York State.

All radiographic sources used by the contractor are delivered to, and transported from, James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant via carriers licensed to transport radiographic isotopes. j 9502240042 950213 PDR ADOCK 05000333 P PDR y I
