Dear Mr. Denton:

Section 13.1.3.25 of the SNPS FSAR (Attachment 1) has been revised in response to a concern of the NRC Resident Inspector (references 1 and 2). The revised section conforms to ANSI N18.1-1971,

" Selection and Training of Nuclear Power Plant Personnel" with regard to the minimum qualifications of the Health Physics and Radio-Chemistry technicians and should address the Resident Inspector's concerns. The new text will be incorporated into the next revision of the FSAR.

ATTACHMENT 2 (to SNRC-971) 13.1.3.25 Technicians Technicians will be high school graduates or equivalent. Technicians in responsible positions shall have a minimum of two years of working experience in their speciality (eg. Health Physics, Chemistry, or Instrumentation and Controls). These personnel should have a minimum of one year related technical training in addition to their experience.
