Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Required Action Based on Generic Implications of Salem /ATWS Events (GL 83-28)
In our letter of September 8, 1983 (5211-83-255), we indicated that we would submit any requests for extension of response to Generic Letter 83-28 within 30 days. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that we currently anticipate responding to all of the applicable items in Generic Letter 83-28 by November 8,1983, with the exception of Item 2.2.2.
We have determined that our response to this item will require an extension to March 1984.
This schedule is consistent with the activities of the recently formed NUTAC of which GPU Nuclear is an active member.
l In view of our continuing participation in the SEE-IN and NPRDS programs, we believe that this extension is acceptable.
