On May 2,1990, J. M. Farley, W. G. Hairston, III and I met with l
NRC officials in the White Flint offices as follows-

We provided a status report on SONOPC0 to the above officials using attachment A for illustration. We described the present status as basically Phase One with the nuclear organization i
co-located in a common building. We described the involvement of J. M. Farley as Executive Vice President of Sauthern Company and the services of the SCS Technical and Administrative groups.
1 We described the Phase Two organization that would be put in place following SEC approval of SON 0PCO.
It was noted that we would be in this configuration for an indefinite period.
It was noted that no NRC action was required to mov?
to that phase.
We discussed the necessary NRC licensing changes that would be necessary before proceeding to Phase Three.

iach and every NRC official expressed satisfaction and support for our moving into Phase Two and at a time to be later determined into Phase Three. The necessity for amending the operating licenses for entering Phase Three was discussed but no regulatory obstacles were identified.
