Request for Schedule Extension; Generic Letter 89-10 Testing Schedule Gentlemen, By letter dated January 8,1995 (Reference), the Nebraska Public Power District (District) provided itsjustification to extend completion of the initial testing portion of the Generic Letter (GL) 89-10 Motor Operated Valve (MOV) program at Cooper Nuclear Station. In that submittal. the District committed to have completed dynamic testing of a total of 35 MOVs prior to plant startup from the current outage, including MS-MOV-MO77. As discussed below, the District plans to defer dynamic testing of MS-MOV-MO77 until Refueling Outage 16 (RE-16).
The District has completed static testing of MS-MOV-MO77, and set up the valve based on the mrrently available data. However, based on conflicts with other outage and startup preparation activities, the District will defer dynvnic testing of MS-MOV-MO77 until RE-16.
This commitment revision does not adversely efted the technical basis for the referenced extension request, as the data provided therein supports dynamically testing this valve during RE-16.
Additionally, the District has identified some minor errors in Table 1 of the referenced submittal. The revised table is attached to this lettu for your information. The corrected information has been identified by shaded areas and by revision bars in the right margin. The District has determined that this corrected information has no impact on the request for the schedule extension, or its bases, made in the referenced submittal.
