Report Nos. 50-352/94-28 and 50-353/94-28.
The purpose of this letter is to clarify a commitment specified in Section 7.0,
" Independent and Intemal Reviews and Audits,' of NRC Combined inspection Report l
Nos. 50-352 and 50-353. This section of the report concems Nuclect Quality Assurance (NOA) audits of the Emergency Preparedness (EP) Program at Limerick Generating Station (LGS). The inspection identified a weakness concerning NOA's documentation of the independent observations of the adequacy of EP drills and exercises required by 10CFR50.54(t). To correct this weakness, page 8 of the inspection report indicates that PECO Energy " committed to.. 2) ensure that observations of EP drills and exercises are documented in independent surveil;ance reports instead of providing input to the drill critique report...' PECO Energy would -
like to clarify this commitment in that our intention is to formally document the observations of EP drills and exercises in an independent surveillance report while continuing to provide these observations as linput to the critique report as well.
