Secondary Access Facility Gentlemen:
This letter provides information cy".:erning the addition of a Secondary Access Facility (SAF) at Wolf Creek Ger.c rat '_ng Station as shown on the attached drawing.
The SAF was constructed to provide a more convenient access to new of fice areas inside the Protected Area Boundary (PAB) and to provide increased utilization of existing parking areas.
i The operational Characteristics of the SAF mimic the existing Security Entrance Facility. Access control requirements are maintained through the use.
of explosive detection equipment, metal detection equipment and x-ray equipment located inside the SAF.
The SAF, when in use, is manned by security personnel located within a bullet resistant structure inside the SAF.
i Security personnel located within the bullet resistant structure have the last access control function capability
-( i. e., they can control the turnstile function).
The facility is equipped with security communication devices.
(Security Radio base station and Security Gaitronics)
The intrusion detection system and closed circuit television system have been modified to bring this l
facility into the PAB and maintain the required intrusion detection and alarm

assessment capability.
