Dear Sir:
This change to the Limerick Generating Station (LGS) Unit I and 2 Physical Security Plan is being submitted at the request of the NRC to support the review process for an exemption request submitted on August 10,1994. This exemption request will allow the use of biometrics hand geometry equipment for access control.
Please note that this change to the Physical Security Plan is for review only and it is not being submitted under 10CFR 50.54(p) as an actual plan change at this time.
A 10CFR 50.54(p) teview has been performed with respect to this plan change and it has been determined that this plan change does not reduce the safeguards effectiveness of the Physical Security Plan. This 10CFR 50.54(p) review assumes that the exemption request for the use of biometrics hand geometry is approved.
Upon receipt of approval for the exemption request for use of biometrics this plan change will be submitted at a future date as a plan change under 10CFR 50.54(p).
