Three Mile Island Nu'elaar Station, Unit 1 (THI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 LER 83-25 This is to confirm the telephone notification to Mr. F. Young, NRC Resident Inspector by Mr. M. A. Nelson at 1810 hrs. on September 16, 1983.
A containment isolation valve (CIV) was found open while containment integrity was required. The CIV (FS-V-405) is a 3/4" vent / test connection for the fire service supply to the Reactor Building. This event is considered reportable under section 6.9.2.a.2 of clie Unit I Technical Specifications.
