Letter from Mr. G. C. Creel (BGE) to NRC Document Control Desk, dated July 3,1991, Procedures Upgrade Project Status Report This letter provides a final update on the status of Calvert Cliffs' Procedures Upgrade Project. Our last j
update was given in Reference (a). We have completed the technical procedures upgrade and remain on schedule for December 1995 completion of the administrative procedures upgrade. A summary of the j
technical procedures upgrade is provided in Attachment (1).
i As stated in Reference (b), Priority I status was given to technical procedures which are most important to I
the safe operation of the plant. 'Ihe Priority 1 procedures are Emergency Operating Procedures, Abnormal l
Operating Procedures, and Surveillance Test Procedures. All Priority 1 procedures were updated by the originally projected completion date of December 1992. The remaining technical procedures were updated by November 16,1994. We had originally projected a completion date of December 1994.
Now that the number of procedure changes has returned to normal levels, we propose that this is our final report on the Procedures Upgrade Project. We will complete upgrading administrative procedures by the end of the year. As stated in Reference (b), our procedure change process has proven to efficiently and safely develop high quality procedures. Our Procedures Program provides long-term emphasis on the importance of procedure ownership, accountability, and expectations for maintaining quality procedures.
And, through self-assessment, we will continue to examme ways to improve our procedures and procedures management methods 950124024B 950118 PDR ADOCK 05000317 0
