Limerick Generating Station, Unk 2 Completion of Spent Fuel Pool Retack Modification Gentlemen By letter dated November 29,1994, the NRC issued Amendment Nos. 82 and 43 to FacBky Operating License Nos. NPF-39 and NPF-85 for Umorick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2, respectively. These amendments revised the LGS, Units 1 and 2, Technical Specifications (TS) to increase the spent fuel storage canscky in each of the spent fuel pools at LGS to 4117 fuel assemblies, in order facIltate instaRation of new high density spent fuel storage racks. The NRC requested that it be notified when these amendments have been implemented at LGS, Units 1 and 2.
Therefore, in response to the NRC's request, this letter is being submittM to inform the NRC that the modification work associated with installing the new high density spent fuel storage racks in the spent fuel pools has t;een completed for LGS Unit 2 only. The physical installation work was completed on December 2,1994, and the first fuel assemblies were placed in the new racks on December 19,1994. Installation of the new racks for Unit 1 is currently in the planning stages and has not yet been scheduled.
