JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE
SUMMARY
OF OPERATIONS July 1991 The outage due to the reactor trip on June 29 continued.
The unit returned to power operation at 0642 on July 1.
There was one major power reduction during the month of July.
On 7-20-91, power was reduced to approximately 15% in response to "RCP IC Brg Upper / Lower Oil Res to Lv1" alarm.
Reactor coolant pump IC lower oil reservoir level was found to be low and oil was added. The source of the leakage was not identified. The unit. was returned to 100% power at 0613 on 7-21-91.
The following major safety-related maintenance was performed during the month:
1.
Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed on the diesel generators.
2.
Charging pump 1B was removed from service to repair an oil leak and oil deflector ring.
