Dear Sirs:
i This morning I received subpoenas for 23 witnesses to appear at the Atlanta hearing l
during the week of January 9,1995. One of those subpoenas is for Mr. Jesse P. Schaudies.
i Mr. Schaudies is a former partner of Troutman Sanders who is now employed elsewhere in Atlanta. Troutman Sanders is not authorized to accept service for Mr. Schaudies and so informed Intervenor. Intervenor was also provided the name of Mr. Schaudies' employer and his business telephone number.

I With respect to the other 22 subpoenas, Georgia Power's counsel is discussing with Intervenor's counsel changes to some of the appearance times in order to make reasonable i
accommodations to the schedules of some witnesses. Discussions are also underway in an attempt to reduce the numbers of witnesses so as to avoid the need for unnecessary motions 1
to quash.
