NRC Examination of Licensed operator Dear Mr. Martini The purpose of this letter is to document the transmittal of the information requested in Reference 2 that indicates a licensed operator at Wolf creek Generating Station (WCGS) meets the requirements of 10 CFR 55.21.
The information provided to your staff includes NRC Forn 396
" Certification of Medical Examination _by Facility Licensee" and substantiating documentation.
Reference 1 concerned the results of the January 23, 1991 NRC-administered reexamination of a licensed operator at WCGS.
Volf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) determined that the operator in question had a temporary medical condition that caused him to fail to meet the requirement of 10 CFR 55.21.
Reference 2 concluded, based on WCNOC's determination, that this individual was medically disabled and should not have been examined.
Additionally, Reference 2 requested information be submitted to indicate that this individual meets the requirements of 10 CFR 55.21 prior to the NRC reexamining this individual.
It is WCNOC's intent to have this individual reexamined by the NRC the week of Augt.at 12, 1991.
