South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Supplemental Information Concerning IE Bulletin 83-05 By letter dated liay 19, 1983, the NRC requested that Houston Lighting &
Power Company (HL&P) perform a review of the spare parts supplied to the South Texas Project (STP) for use in ASME Code pumps ar.d identify all pumps and their service application where Hayward Tyler Pump Ccmpany (HTPC) manufactured spare parts are/will be used.
Specifically, attached to the NRC letter was a listing of spare parts which were presumed to have been sent to the STP.
HL&P and our architect-engineer have reviewed the subject listing of spare parts. The spare parts referenced in the NRC letter are for non safety-related applications. We have not ordered spare parts from HTPC for use in any ASME Code (i.e. safety-related) pumps.
In accordance with the guidance in the NRC letter, the information contained in the letter is to be handled as proprietary information in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR2.790.
