Genetic Letter 90-09, " Alternative Requirements for Snubber Visual Inspeccion I.'tervals and Corrective Actions,"
December 11, 1990 Union Electric Company herewith transmits an application for amendment to Facility Operating License Number NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant.
This amendment application requests a revision to Technical Specification 3/4.7.8 and associated Bases to change the snubber visual inspection intervals and corrective actions. The proposed revisions are consistent with the
. guidance of Generic Letter 90-09 (Reference 1).
The Callaway Plant On-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment application.
Attachments 1 through 3 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, and Significant Hazards Evaluation, respectively.
It has been determined that this amendment application does not involve any unreviewed safety g20stion as defined in 10CFR50.59 nor a significant t>2ard consideration as determined per 10CFRSO.92.
We request that this amendment application be approved by 12/1/91 to support inspections currently required during Refuel 5 scheduled for Spring 1992.
