r Enclosed is a copy of the final exercise report for the May 4,

1994, exercise of the offsite radiological emergency response plans site-specific to the Clinto.1 Nuclear Power Station. The State'of l

Illinois, and the Counties of DeWitt, Mclean, Macon, and Platt, and l

the Illinois Power Company participated in the exercise. This l

report was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency i'

Region V staff and copies will be provided to the State of Illinois.

There were no Deficiencies and only two Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified during the May 4, 1994, exercise.

Both ARCAs'were for the State of Illinois and have now been corrected.

Based on the results of the May 4,

1994, exercise, the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the j

State of Illinois and the affected local jurisdictions, site-j specific to the Clinton Nuclear Power Station, can be implemented and are adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate l

measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of l

the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.

l Therefore, the Title 44 CFR, Part 350, approval of the. Illinois offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness site-specific to the Clinton Nuclear Power Station granted on j

August 3, 1987, will remain in effect.
