A. PURPOSE The purpose of this procedure is to describe actions of tre Environs Director for initiation of the environmental
. monitoring efforts and coordination of Envirens Group activities.

C. PRERECUISITES 1, The Environs Group, under the supervisico of the Environs Director, will consist of qualified individuals from Commonwealth Edison anc contractors ces:gnated to assist the group. Typically, outside contractors will consist of the Radiological Monitoring Contractor, the Meteorological Monitoring Contractor and other Special Environmental Contractor personnel.

- 1. In the event that radiation levels at or Deyond the site boundary are suspected to oe significant, l personnel performing radiation surveys will require dosimetry such as film badges and pocket dosimeters to ascertain their accumulated radiation exposure.

- 1. At the discretion of the Station Directcr, tne l} Environs Group may be activated during GSEP conditions involving a hazaroous material (including radiological) accident suspected of affecting areas outside of l the plant facility.

- 2. If EOF activction is requirea for a non-radiclogical B event, relocate to the EOF and activate communications anc computer equipment. Take additional team memoers as necessary.

- a. Request the Station Director to contact an Environs Director from Dresden Station or Braidwcoa Station and instruct him to activate the EOF.

- to turn of f the alarm within tni rty seconds of entering the door.
- b. Request the Station Director to dispatch additional personnel if available to assist the EOF Environs Director.
