Safety-Related Shock Suppressors (Snubbers) - Supplemental Information
Dear Sir:
Pursuant to Section 50.59 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations, Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation hereby proposes the following change to Appendix A of the Operating License.
Proposed Change:
Replace Pages ll6b, c, and e of Proposed Change No. 108, Reference (b),
with the enclosed revised Pages ll6b, c, and e.
These pages have been revised to reflect the deletion of snubber RHR-H188 and to clarify snubber designations.
Reason For Change:

By Reference (b), we submitted Proposed Change No. 108 to our facility Technical Specifications. This change reflected the addition and deletion of safety-related shock suppressors (snubbers) resulting from modifications made in conjunctio1 with our Mark I Containment Long-Term Program.
Page 116C has subsequently been revised to reflect the deletion of Snubber RHR-H188 This snubber is being removed coincident with our Mark I Program torus-attached piping modifications and will be replaced by a rigid restraint.
In addition, two (2) sets of snubbers identified as single snubbers, or single units, on Pages ll6b and e in our last submittal
[ Reference (b)], have been redesignated for clarity.

The safety consideration for this change is consistent with that presented in Reference (b). Therefore, we have concluded that this change does not constitute an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10CFR50.59(a)(2) nor does It involve a significant hazards determination as defined in 10CFR50.92(c).
This submittal has been reviewed by the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Safety Audit and Review Committee.
Fee Determination:
This change is pro forma and administrative in nature, and has no safety or environmental significance. For these reasons, Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation proposes this as a Class II amendment. A payment of $1,200 was previously forwarded with Reference (b).
Schedule Of Change:
The change-described above will be incorporated into the Vermont Yankee Technical Specifications as soon as practicable following receipt of your approval.
