- 1. 4/15/91 - Well drillers noticed diesel fuel odor in the fluid at the bottom of a cathodic protection well they had drilled.
They notify station compliance personnel.
- 2. 4/15/91 -
Station compliance personnel investigated the situation, looked at environmentcl regulations on this topic, and notified DHEC.
- 3. 4/15/91 - Plant personnel started monitoring diesel fuel level in the Unit 1 emergency diesel generator fuel tanks every three hours. These tanks are located near the newly drilled well.
- 4. 4/15/91 - Groundwater monitoring wells near the newly drilled well were monitored for diesel fuel. No diesel fuel detected in these wells via a snif f test. These wells are monitored on a weekly basis and have not indicated any groundwater contamination.
- 5. 4/16/91 - Samples from groundwater monitoring wells near the newly drilled well were taken and visually inspected. No diesel fuel is detected in these wells.
