Ref: ULNRC-2029 dated 6/30/89 The referenced letter edvised you that potentially eligible sites on our property continue to be protected by the Management Plan.
This is to advise you of more recent information concerning two sites located in the residual lands area.
During a recent survey of the 25 potentially eligible cultural resources sites on our property, it was observed that two of the sites (23 CY 314 and 23 CY 309) showed evidence of recent deep plowing contrary to our Cultural Resources Management Plan requirement permitting shallow discing to allow the sowing of grass seed only.
Both of these sites are within the confines of agricultural fields and were subject to cultivation in the past.
The required site boundary markers were absent from these two sites, thus permitting their cultivation by mistake.
To correct this situation, Union Electric personnel have installed the required boundary markers and contacted the Missouri Department of Conservation to assure the sites are maintained per our Management Plan.
In the future, we will periodically verify that the markers are properly installed and maintained.
