JWC00K LETTER TO HRDENTON SERIAL 20453 DATED MAY 3, 1983 This correspondence will supplements the commitment to implement an expanded cooling pond dike surveillance program as discussed in the above referenced letter of May 3, 1983. This surveillance program includes a commitment for visual inspections of the grass on the outside slope of the. cooling pond dike.
Although Consumers Power Company committed to repairing damaged areas of l
grass, the Company did not specifically indicate a time limit for such repairs. Therefore, Consumers Power Company commits to repairing of damaged turf on the cooling pond dike within a month after detecting such damaged areas consistent with the inspection program specified in the previous letter.
This supplemental information should. enable the_NRC Staff to complete its review of Confirmatory Issue #1.
