Dear Ms Pederson,

In response to your letter dated September 7,1994 the following information is provided.

Violation #1 Item 3 (1) In reference to an outside group conducting and completing the audit, we are defining " timely manner" as within the year being audited. For example, the year defined as January 1,1994 to December 31,1994 will be audited prior to the end of 1994.

Item 3 (2) Our time expectations in reference to the Reactor Operations Committee reviewing the audit findings is that the findings will be reviewed within three months of the completion of the audit.

Violation #3 The staff of the OSU Nuclear Reactor Laboratory will adhere to the annual requalification requirement of 365+30 day grace period unless they request and receive approval for an exemption.

Sincerely, Jose B. Cruz, Jr.
